Policy Statement

Office Furniture UK is committed to conducting business ethically and with integrity. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business and supply chain.

We are committed to ensuring that modern slavery, forced labour, servitude and human trafficking have no place within our organisation or in the businesses with which we work.

This policy is made in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our Commitment

Office Furniture UK will:

  • Operate our business in an ethical, honest and transparent manner.
  • Comply with all applicable legislation relating to modern slavery and human trafficking.
  • Seek to work with suppliers, contractors and business partners who share our commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Take proportionate and reasonable steps to identify and reduce the risk of modern slavery within our supply chain.
  • Expect all employees, contractors and suppliers to uphold the standards set out in this policy.
  • Investigate any concerns raised regarding unethical practices appropriately, fairly and confidentially.

Supply Chain

As a UK-based supplier of new and used office furniture, Office Furniture UK works predominantly with reputable UK manufacturers, distributors, suppliers and service providers.

Whilst we consider the risk of modern slavery within our operations to be low, we remain committed to promoting ethical trading and expect all organisations we work with to comply with applicable employment and modern slavery legislation.

Employee Responsibilities

All employees are expected to:

  • Conduct themselves with honesty and integrity.
  • Remain vigilant to the potential risks of modern slavery and human trafficking.
  • Report any concerns or suspicions immediately to management.
  • Cooperate fully with any investigation into suspected breaches of this policy.

Supplier Expectations

Office Furniture UK expects its suppliers, contractors and business partners to:

  • Comply with all relevant employment and modern slavery legislation.
  • Treat workers fairly, lawfully and with respect.
  • Operate safe and ethical working practices.
  • Notify us of any significant issues relating to labour standards or modern slavery within their organisation.

Where concerns are identified, we reserve the right to review, suspend or terminate supplier relationships where appropriate.

Responsibility

The Directors of New & Used Office Furniture Ltd have overall responsibility for ensuring this policy is implemented and reviewed.

Management is responsible for communicating this policy to employees, promoting compliance throughout the business and reviewing supplier relationships where appropriate.

Monitoring & Review

This policy will be reviewed annually or sooner if legislation or business operations change.
